only three women who’ve served more than one term.
The club adopted its logo in 2011, and added vendors to its monthly meetings in 2014.
At June’s General Meeting, the funds raised for philanthropic purposes are distributed, scholarships are presented, new board members are installed and past club presidents are recognized. The club goes dark for the summer; there are no meetings in July and August.
The Woman’s Club welcomes all Canyon Lake women. Annual dues are just $20. The club holds monthly meet- ings on the third Wednesday in the Holi- day Bay Room at the lodge. Vendor hour is from 9 to 10 a.m. Meetings begin at 10 a.m. followed by a speaker. Lunch is served at noon and costs $14.
October’s speaker will be Janelle Basham from Bosom Buddies, a Can- yon Lake organization founded in the late 80s dedicated to educating, inspir- ing and supporting newly diagnosed breast cancer patients during their breast cancer journey.

On behalf of the Woman’s Club, members Jan May and Terri Ireland accepted a certi cate and a $100 cash prize for hav- ing the “Best Float” in the Fiesta Day Parade.
The Woman's Club monthly meetings are typically themed meetings. Women are encouraged to particpate by dressing in costume or designated color.
