Bombshells, a clothing, accessories and gift boutique in the Canyon Lake Towne Center, has been named Favorite California Boutique by the 2017 Global Boutique Awards. Bombshells com- peted with 4,000 other boutiques and is the only California boutique to make the finals in two categories.
The Global Boutique Awards cel- ebrates boutiques and specialty stores, whether online, mobile or brick and mortar, who are the lifeblood of cities of all sizes around the world.
The mission of The Global Boutique Awards is to give consumers around the world the opportunity to choose and celebrate their favorite boutiques from all 50 states, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom.
The Canyon Lake City Council plans to recognize Bombshells for its achieve- ment at the next city council meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 4.
Bombshells is owned by sisters Stephanie Stout and Johanna Granados. Their parents have been Canyon Lake residents since 1982. Stephanie was born and raised in Canyon Lake.
Upon hearing the news of their win, the sisters couldn’t contain their excite- ment. “I cried, I was so happy. Canyon Lake has been a part of our family’s lives for 35 years and we are so thankful for the opportunity we have been given,” said Stephanie. Johanna said, “We are so appreciative of our customers for their loyalty and support
To show their appreciate to their cus- tomers, the sisters held a Fill-A-Bag sale where customers could fill a bag with almost anything in the store for $65 per bag. “We had a Fill-A-Bag sale last year,

but weren’t planning on doing it again,” said Stephanie. “Because we had re- ceived so much support and love from our loyal super fans, we wanted to give back.”
Shoppers lined up before the store opened at 8 a.m. “Our customers rolled, twisted and shoved items into the paper
bags provided. One Customer filled two bags with more than $700 in merchan- dise,” said Stephanie. The sale was so successful that it cleared out most of the store’s inventory, forcing the store to close for two days so it could be re- stocked with new inventory.
Bombshells, located next to Pack,
Wrap and Post at 31568 Railroad Can- yon Rd., Ste. 100, opened in the Towne Center in October 2014. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Fri- day and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. The store is closed on Sundays. For more information about Bombshells, visit bombshellsboutique.com.
