ship with the Inland Empire Veterans Employment Committee, the City of Ontario and the Counties of Riverside, will be holding the 39th annual Honor A Hero/Hire a Veteran Job and Resource Fair on Thursday, May 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ontario Convention Center, 2000 E. Convention Center Way, Ontario.

Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery is a program that teaches and gives one tools on how to address their hurts, habits, and hang-ups so that they can move forward and find their purpose and a life filled with joy. Participants discover that they are not alone in what they are going through and find people to walk alongside them.
Celebrate Recovery meets on Sun- days at 6 p.m. in Building C at Canyon Lake Community Church.

Cub Scout Recruitment
Cub Scout Pack 346 will be holding a "Rocket Rally" recruitment event on Sunday, April 30, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Canyon Hills Sports park. Boys who will be entering kindergarten through fifth grade in August and are interested in Cub Scouting for the 2017/2018 year are encouraged to come out and meet Pack 346 and have some fun designing and flying bottle rockets. Complimen- tary light snacks will be provided.

Landscape Workshop

Art Show
The Canyon Lake Art Associa- tion (CLAA) is holding its annual Art Show on Sunday, May 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Canyon Lake Country Club. Many local artists will be show- ing their work. The event will feature
art for sale, basket raffles and a silent auc- tion. Therese Daniels, artist and author of Very Venice, will create live portrait drawings for a $5 donation to CLAA.

Student Scholarships
The Canyon Lake Choraleers have established a $500 scholarship award to encourage and assist outstanding young people to pursue their interest in the per- forming arts. The Canyon Lake Community Theatre (CLCT) is now accepting scholarship ap- plications from graduating seniors. Ap- plicants must have participated or worked with CLCT within the past two years to be eligible for a scholarship. Applicants must complete an application packet as well as write a two page essay outlining the impact that being involved in CLCT has had on their life. Caregivers Connection
Neurobiology of Dementia will be
the topic of the May 8 meeting. What is causing your loved one to stumble through sentences, forget names, mix up relationships and struggle with seeming- ly basic brain processes? Shannon Eaton will be addressing the scientific findings and basic processes of the Dementia di- agnosis. She will give a comprehensive overview of the changes in the brain in a captivating format that is easy to under- stand but enlightening and educational. There will also be a question and answer time with Jane and Shannon.
The Canyon Lake Community Church’s Caregivers Connection offers an opportunity for caregivers to share common problems, needs and experi- ences. Anyone caring for a loved one for illnesses such as dementia, Alzheimer's, stroke, heart issues or Parkinson's is welcome to attend.
