Winter Carnival
The Winter Carnival is tomorrow, December 3, at Holiday Harbor from 1 to 4 p.m. This free community event will feature bounce houses, holiday games and crafts, horse carriage rides, trackless train rides and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Woman’s Club Home Tour
The Woman’s Club Home Tour is this Sunday, De- cember 4. Five homes will be featured on tour this year. Tickets are $15. This event begins at the Lodge where maps for the self-guided tour will be available. Doors will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the holi- day boutique, Christmas tree and wreath opportunity drawing and complimentary coffee and baked goods. Home Tour hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Lodge Tree Lighting
The annual Tree-Lighting at the Lodge is this Sun- day, December 4, at 4 p.m. at the Lodge. This event has been a tradition in Canyon Lake for over 30 years. There will be entertainment, vendors and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Sip and Shop
The Country Club Golf Shop will be hosting a Sip and Shop on Thursday, December 8, from 12 to 8 p.m. There will be specials on all merchandise and a few fun games for even more savings. refreshments will be served. Gift wrapping will be available.
Breakfast with Santa
Children are invited to have a pancake breakfast with Santa at the North Ski Pavilion on Saturday, De- cember 10, from 9 to 11 a.m. This free event is hosted by the Ski Club.
Choraleers Holiday Concert
The Choraleers Holiday Concert will be held on Saturday, December 10, at 2 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room at the Lodge. Tickets to this family event are just $10 and can be purchased at the POA office, from any member of the Choraleers or at Brown Paper Tickets at www.brownpapertickets.
Parade of Lights Boat Parade
The Parade of Lights, sponsored by the Yacht Club, will be held on December 10. Boats will parade the East Bay and Main Lake beginning at 5 p.m. Residents who wish to participate should download a registration form at clyc2014.webs.com.
Senior Center Christmas Party
The Senior Center Christmas Party will be held on Sunday, December 11 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Senior Center. This is a free event for seniors 55 years old and older. Dinner, non-alcoholic drinks and dessert are in- cluded. There will be a performance by the Choraleers at 6:30 p.m. Reservations are taken at Member Servic- es at the POA office.
Golf Cart Parade
The Golf Cart Parade and Toy Drive, sponsored by the Street Carts of Canyon Lake Club, will be held on Sunday, December 11, at 6 p.m. Residents who wish to participate should decorate their carts and lineup on Blue Bird Dr. between 5 and 5:30 p.m. The entry fee is one unwrapped toy, which will be collected at the Lodge at the end of the parade.
Country Club Ugly Sweater Party
The Country Club will host an Ugly Sweater Party and Donation Drive on Friday, December 16 at 5 p.m.
This event will feature a holiday buffet, live entertain- ment, prize for ugliest sweater and an opportunity to give back and contribute to the Donation Drive. The buffet price is $15.95 per person; $7.95 for children 11 and younger.
Forever Plaid Christmas Show
The Forever Plaid Christmas Show, hosted by the Fine Arts Guild, will be held on Friday, December 16, at 7 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room at the Lodge. VIP tickets with reserved seating are $45. General Admis- sion (and Benefactor) tickets are $25. Tickets for chil- dren (16 years old and younger) are just $10. Tickets can be purchased online at plaid.brownpapertickets. com or by calling 800-838-3006. General Admission tickets ($25 tickets only) can be purchased at the POA office.
Brunch with Santa
Santa will be stopping at the Lodge for brunch on December 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Parents are invit- ed to bring their children to visit with Santa and enjoy brunch at the Lighthouse. Brunch prices are listed on the Lighthouse website.
Senior Center New Year’s Eve Bash
The Senior Center New Year’s Eve Bash is for se- niors 55 years old and older. Tickets are $28 and are available at the POA office. This event features a DJ, semi-formal sit down dinner and a champagne toast. It runs from 6 to 11 p.m.
The Lodge New Year’s Eve Bash
The December 31 New Year’s Eve Bash at the Lodge will include live entertainment, food and bever- ages and other fun surprises.
Eat breakfast with Santa next Saturday
Children are invited to start their day the merry way with a pancake breakfast with Santa next Saturday, December 10. Santa will arrive by ski boat at the North Ski Pavilion on the North Causeway at approximately 9 a.m.
Santa’s elf will assist with serving breakfast. Chil- dren will have an opportunity to have a personal visit with Santa and pose for photos. Parents don’t forget your cameras.
Breakfast will be served until 11 a.m. Reservations are not required. This free annual community event is hosted by the Canyon Lake Ski Club.
