Visit Festival of Lights at Mission Inn
The Canyon Lake Senior Work Group has arranged a trip for seniors (50 years and older) to enjoy the Festival of Lights, held every Christmas season at the Mission Inn in Riverside. This internationally recognized event has been rated by USA Today’s 10Best.com as the “Number 1 Best Public Lights Dis- play” and by People Magazine as the second best Christmas light show in the United States.
Organizers say, “The Festival of Lights has to be seen to be believed. In fact, it should be on everyone’s bucket list. Many Christmas-related activities and street vendors are just outside the Mission Inn. For example, you can ice skate, shop for unusual Christmas decorations, or ride in a fairy tale-like horse drawn carriage.”
On December 8, at 4 p.m., a coach will depart the Lodge for a five-hour round trip to the Festival of Lights. The cost is $25 per person. Dinner at any of the nearby restaurants is on one’s own. Reservations can be obtained at CLPOA Member Services. Only checks made out to the Canyon Lake Senior Work Group will be accepted.
