Lake working together need to recog- nize this Canyon Lake urgent need and purchase the ambulances and employ enough skilled medics to cover 24/7 service.
The City of Canyon Lake has a legal responsibility to cover all emergencies, including paramedic and fire services.
Perhaps the most important of these recommendations will be applying for and obtaining a special phone number, say 999. Dialing this number takes the
call immediately to the Canyon Lake Emergency Paramedic Center. A citizen/ member of Canyon Lake may still use the 911 number for emergency for fire and vehicle accidents, etc.
Closer to home, Riverside County approved a trial fire contract with San
Jacinto City Joint Fire Authority with Idyllwild. Kevin Jeffries stated he pre- ferred to call the proposed two-man unit a medic squad.
The City can afford this scheme, but they will have to ask to extend the date keeping this Utility User Tax.
The American Brass Band will perform at Okto- berfest on October 15 in the Towne Center.
Save the date for ‘Monster Mash’ at the Lodge
“Monster Mash” will be the theme of a family Halloween extravaganza on Saturday, October 29, at 6:30 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room at the Lodge. Host- ed by Canyon Lake Community Theatre, organizers say the “spooky evening” will include an Italian dinner buffet and a “wildly entertaining” variety show with singing and dancing, costume contest (with prizes) and a DJ for dancing.
Adult VIP reserved dinner and show tickets are $35. Kid (12 and under) VIP reserved dinner and show tickets are $20. General seating (no dinner) tickets are
$15 for adults, $12 for seniors and students, and $10 for kids 12 and under. Doors open at 5 p.m. for dinner, which will be served from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Show starts at 7 p.m.
For questions about tickets, performers and benefactors, call Ilene Moore at
909-239-1177.
