Post-fireworks Traffic
To make leaving Holiday Harbor and Lodge areas easier and quicker, Com- munity Patrol will direct residents and guests to the quickest exit from the com- munity. This could be in an alternate direction than desired. Pedestrian traf- fic will be given priority along Canyon Club and the Main Causeway in the first 30 minutes after the show.
• Village Way – Due to traffic conges- tion, golf carts and vehicles exiting Vil- lage Way after the fireworks show will only be able to turn right onto Canyon Lake Dr. South.
• Exiting the Lodge – In order to con- trol traffic congestion of those exiting the Lodge area, after the show, vehicles and golf carts will be required to exit onto Lighthouse. From Lighthouse, vehicles may turn left or right onto Vacation Dr.
• Vacation Drive – At the stop sign corner of Vacation and Canyon Lake Dr. North, vehicles exiting the show will only be able to make a left turn onto Canyon Lake Dr. toward the East Gate.
Other Reminders
• Members Services will be closed all day Monday, July 4.
• Unregistered boats are not permitted on the lake. Marine Patrol will be veri- fying boats for current registration at all launch ramps. Unregistered boats are subject to a $500 Marine Patrol citation.
• During the fireworks show, boats must maintain a safe distance from Skip-
per’s Island. The show will not begin un- less all boats are within a safe distance 200 feet away from the island.
• On July 4, the pool will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. for open swim. A valid POA card is required and the member must be in good standing to have access to the pool gate. The gate will close at 8 p.m. for the fireworks show and no one but authorized per- sonnel will be allowed in the pool deck

• Curfew for those under the age of 18 will be 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The Associa- tion says there will be zero tolerance for juveniles with alcohol as well as strict enforcement of boating and driving un- der the influence laws.
• Fireworks are illegal and the fine for setting them off is $500 to $1000 and up to one year in jail.
July events offer a little something for everyone
The Association has a several events coming up this month.
• Canyon Lake Junior Golf Camp
will be held July 11 to 15, hosted by the Golf Pro Shop staff and Family Golf Club. The fee per junior golfer is $35. Sign up at the Pro Shop.
• Everyone with a bike, skateboard or scooter is invited to Eastport Park on Friday, July 15, from 3 to 6 p.m. for a Pumptrack Demo Tour Day hosted by American Ramp Company. Use of the track is free but parents must be there to sign a waiver for children under 18.
• The next Family Movie Nights at Holiday Harbor are scheduled for July 8, August 5, August 19 and September 9. They are free and most movies are rated PG. Everyone is invited to bring their own chair or blanket to sit on the slope, along with their own food and beverages. Snacks sometimes are avail- able for purchase at the snack bar.
• Flick-n-Float Movie Nights at the Lodge pool are scheduled for July 16, August 13 and September 17. Mov- ies start at dusk. These are free events for residents and their guests. Movies this year will be for older children and adults, most rated PG-13.
• Grammy-winning singer Suzy Bogguss is coming to Canyon Lake on Saturday, July 30, at 7 p.m. for a pri- vate concert at the Lodge.
Bogguss has charted six Top 10 sin-
gles, won the Academy of Country Mu- sic’s “Top New Female Vocalist” Award and the Country Music Association’s “Horizon Award”. During the 1990s, she sold more than 4 million records. Among her best known hits are “Out- bound Plane,” “Someday Soon,” “Let- ting Go” and “Drive South.”
This concert is part of the Associa- tion’s "Concerts At The Lodge" series which brings quality national musicians to Canyon Lake. Past performers include David Cook, Collin Raye, Hal Ketchum and Johnny Lee.
VIP tickets are $55 per person and in- cludes a private entrance with preferred seating closest to the stage and exclusive VIP bar access. General Admission tick- ets are $30. Tickets are available online at www.canyonlakepoa.com. Tickets can also be purchased (credit/debit card transactions only) at the Member Ser- vice office.
