JUNE 5, 2015 THE FRIDAY FLYER A-5 First Taco Tuesday draws a big crowd
The first Taco Tuesday of the sea- son welcomed a big crowd Tuesday at the Lodge and Sunset Beach. Especial- ly popular for the adult crowd was the 22-ounce refillable Taco Tuesday logo cup for $13, which comes with a mar- garita or soft drink.
Kids who bought Kid Zone wrist- bands had fun on a new water slide and bounce house, and/or they participated in dance contests on the patio with DJ Mike Shroyer. Many enjoyed the Ha- waiian shave ice, popcorn, smoothies, frappaccinos and cotton candy sold in the snack shack.
The weekly gathering allows resi- dents to enjoy the beauty of the lake, the camaraderie of being with friends and neighbors, a place for children to burn off energy and young adults to show off their sand volleyball skills – not to men- tion a satisfying selection of inexpensive food choices, drinks and snacks.

Board establishes lake lease advisory committee
The Canyon Lake Property Owners Association Board of Directors voted at Tuesday’s regular session meeting to cre- ate a lake lease advisory committee. The official name of the committee is still to be determined. The recommendation on the Board Agenda was as follows:
“The Board of Directors found that the professional input, opinions and rec- ommendations of qualified members of the Association are desirable with re-
spect to the current litigation between the Association and the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District and the litiga- tion’s affect on the real estate market in the Association.
“Such members may include attor- neys, real estate agents, water experts and other qualified individuals.
“In order to diligently obtain the in- put, opinions and recommendations of those qualified individuals, it must form
an executive committee, which shall be made of said qualified individuals and members of the Board of Directors.”
Corporate Counsel Scott Levine said this committee will receive the same in- formation the CLPOA Board of Direc- tors is receiving with regard to the Lake Lease litigation. It will require a time commitment, and members must sign a document swearing them to secrecy due to the nature of the litigation.
Committee members will be signifi- cantly involved in the determination of the Association’s legal position in the dispute, and will advise the CLPOA Board of Directors as to its position and recommendations.
The Committee Application Form can be found at www.canyonlakepoa. com (click on Governance, then click on Committees and scroll to the bottom) or at the Member Services Offices.
