to bring 'The Best of
Broadway and Movies'
Gary Bonner Singers to give matinee concert
The Fine Arts Guild is pleased to present “The Best of Broadway and the Movies” performed by The Gary Bonner Singers when they return to Canyon Lake with a matinee performance at the Lodge on Sunday, March 15, at 2:30 p.m.
This group of performers, under the direction of Dr. Gary Bonner, is known as one of the best choral groups in the nation and has been invited to sing at the White House four times in the last eight years. Fortunately for Canyon Lake fans, the choral group is based here in Southern California.
The Singers will perform hits familiar to all, with songs from “The Sound of Music,” “Phantom of the Opera,” ”Oklahoma,” and many more, concluding with a spectacular “Les Miserables” finale.
The Gary Bonner Singers’ “Best of Broadway and the Movies” concert two years ago was a sellout, so get tickets early. Tickets are on sale at the CLPOA office at $20 per person (check only), and are available online from brownpap- ertickets.com or by calling 1-800-838-3006. There are no fees for online credit card or telephone purchase.
With owner Judy Randle out of town, Crystal Palombo and Patricia Arick agreed to have their picture taken for The Cup Above. The two help with the business’ art program.

Money for materials is provided by the “One Cup, One Child” program at The
Cup Above; whereby, every cup of coffee sold in the store supports the cost of clay in the classroom. Once the children have fashioned their projects out of the raw clay, they are given a coupon for their parent to bring them to The Cup Above on their own time to paint their project and have it glazed and fired at no extra cost.
The Cup Above, located across the parking lot from the City/POA building, is a combination coffee shop and ceramics studio. Comfortable couches, tables and chairs make it a favorite place for business people to meet over coffee, or groups and individuals to paint a wide variety of bisque pieces.
Awards and Installation Gala
The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce is accepting reservations for the annu- al Awards and Installation Gala, to be held Saturday, March 7, at the Lake Elsinore Storm Diamond Club. The cost is $45 per person. The registration/sponsorship form was due February 25, but contact the Chamber for ticket availability at 951-244-6124.
