Aprile DeAnne is back with a bang to hosting local events

Canyon Lake resident and entertainer Aprile DeAnne is back with a bang after nearly two years of losing work and community service due to the pandemic.

Aprile is not only a popular local entertainer, but she’s also a board member of the Mermaids of Canyon Lake Club.

The club has some fun upcoming events and Aprile will be singing and MCing the Mermaids of Canyon Lake 80’s Party next month.

The Mermaids will also be joining with other Canyon Lake clubs and will participate in the Cancer Fair in May at Holiday Harbor.

Code 415, a new band that has just begun playing at the Canyon Lake Country Club and PZA Restaurant, is available for private events. The band is all Canyon Lake members, including Aprile.

Aprile will also be playing again with Steve Adler and One Guy and a Chick on the first Friday of the month beginning in April.

Aprile said she is looking forward to collaborating with the owners of PZA to start an all new 10-week theater, music, singing and social etiquette workshop geared towards kids ages 8-11 on the first Wednesday of the month beginning in March.

The kids will be able to have dinner at the monthly event which will be followed by the workshop. On Week 10, the kids will be able to showcase what they learned by putting on a show for their parents, friends and family.

While kids are in class, parents can also eat at PZA for a discounted price.

Aprile says her goal is to help kids build confidence and social skills all while having fun in a friendly and creative environment. After two years of the pandemic, it’s time to embrace each day together, she said.

“Shannon, the owner of PZA, is really into the arts,” Aprile said. “If you can make it out to karaoke night, you will see why Shannon’s interest is more than the average art lovers.”
