Kids Club enjoys holiday festivities in December

The Canyon Lake Kids Club had a busy month in December. The kids made Christmas gifts for their families, had a fun holiday party that included a visit from Santa and enjoyed readings of Don’t Push the Button Christmas Adventure, Gingerbread Baby, 10 Trim-the-Tree’ers and The Mitten Tree. Crafts included button Christmas trees, gingerbread babies and snowman pictures made with cotton balls.

The Kids Club is currently on winter break. The kids will learn about Pete the Cat and Old MacDonald when class resumes on Jan. 15. A field trip to DeJong’s Dairy is planned for Jan. 22.

The Kids Club is a program in which young children and their parents or grandparents enjoy a morning of crafts, music, exercise, games, sports and a snack for just $2 per session. Those who purchase a 10-class punch card will receive two classes free. Punch cards can be purchased in class.

Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the Pool View Room at the lodge. For more information, email canyonlakekidsclub@gmail.com.
