Officer positions were announced at the meeting of Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District’s board of directors last week. By a vote of 5-0, Director Andy Morris was appointed president. Morris will lead the board as president for the second time in his nine years of service.

Director Morris, who was recently sworn into his third term, represents EVMWD’s Division 5, which includes sections of eastern Lake Elsinore, Wildomar and Murrieta. He is the board’s representative to several local organizations, including Wildomar City Council, Murrieta City Council and the Murrieta Chamber of Commerce.

“It is an honor to represent the community as the EVMWD board president,” said Morris. “Along with the board of directors, I am committed to ensuring excellent service to our customers and continuing to find innovative solutions to safeguarding our water supplies for the future.”

Other board officer positions announced at the meeting include Phil Williams, Division 4, as vice president, and Darcy Burke, Division 1, as treasurer. Rounding out the board of directors are Harvey R. Ryan, representing Division 2, and Jared McBride, representing Division 3.
