After Lunch Bunch

Thanksgiving took its toll on last week’s ALB game.  No doubt it was a case of too much turkey. The end result was a small field of 16 players in the game of Two Best Balls of the Foursome. The results are as follows:

1st place: Bob Stinson, Nick Valencia, Chuck Hudson and Sven Henrichsen, 121.

2nd place: Bob Tallaksen, Oscar Rowland, Ross Hanover and Jim Paulis, 124.

Ten of the 16 golfers entered the Skins contest. There were seven winning holes: Joe Washle on hole 12, Nick Valencia on holes 7, 9 and 18, Clive Taylor on hole 6 and Bob Tallaksen on holes 10 and 14.

Closest to the Pin prizes were awarded to Dave Nickel on hole 8 and Sven Henrichsen on hole 15.

Next Friday’s game will be Partners Best Ball. Players may pick their own partner and their foursome.

Now in its 39th year, the ALB offers a friendly game of golf every Friday throughout the year and an annual tournament in November. Entries are open to male golfers with an established handicap. The entry fee is $5 with an optional Skins competition for $5. Winter tee time is 10 a.m.
