Seniors invited to senior center holiday parties

Canyon Lake seniors ages 55 and older are invited to a Christmas Dinner Party and a New Year’s Eve Dinner-Dance at the senior center.

The Senior Center Work Group is hosting a free Christmas Dinner Party for seniors on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 5 p.m. Dessert and non-alcoholic drinks are included. Entertainment includes a performance by the Canyon Lake Choraleers.

Seating is limited to 75 seniors. Reservations are required. Signups are taken at the POA office.

Seniors are invited to ring in 2019 at the senior center’s New Year’s Eve Dinner-Dance on Monday, Dec. 31, from 6 to 11 p.m. This semi-formal event includes a catered dinner. Appetizers will be served at 6 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. The New Year’s Eve countdown and champagne toast will be celebrated at 10 p.m. Party favors will be provided. DJ Rob Robinson will provide the entertainment for the evening.

Tickets cost $35 and go on sale at the POA office on Monday, Dec. 3. Seating is limited to 60 people. This event sold out the past two years, early ticket purchase is recommended. For more information, contact Marjean Marich at marjeanm@me.com.
