‘Concerts at the Lodge’ tickets on sale now

Tickets are on sale now for the POA “Concerts at the Lodge” 2019 concerts. There are four concerts in the series: Missing Persons, Great White, The Motels and Billy Dean. All POA concerts are held in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. Tickets are available at the POA office and on the POA website at canyonlakepoa.com.

The first concert in the series will be a Valentine’s concert on Saturday, Feb. 9, featuring 80s new wave band Missing Persons. This concert features Dale Bozzio, lead singer and co-founder of Missing Persons, and Prescott Niles, best known as the bassist for The Knack. This full band show will feature such songs as “Walking in L.A.,” “Destination Unknown,” “Give” “Words” and “Hello, I Love You.” Tickets are $54 for VIP and $29 for General Admission.

Legendary rock band Great White will make its debut in Canyon Lake on Saturday, Apr. 6. Great White gained popularity during the 80s and early 90s. The band released several albums in the late 80s and gained airplay on MTV with music videos for songs like “Once Bitten, Twice Shy” and “Rock Me.” Tickets are $64 for VIP and $39 for General Admission.
The Motels will perform at the lodge on Saturday, June 22. The new wave band from Berkeley is best known for the singles “Only the Lonely” and “Suddenly Last Summer” Both songs reached No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the early 80s. VIP tickets for this show are $54. General Admission tickets are $29.

The final 2019 concert will feature country music singer and songwriter Billy Dean. Billy’s studio albums have accounted for more than 20 hit singles on the Billboard country charts, including 11 Top Ten hits. He has performed and toured with some of the industry’s biggest country music stars, including Kenny Rogers, Clint Black and Alan Jackson.

In 1992, Billy was nominated for a Grammy for Song of the Year for “Somewhere in My Broken Heart,” which went on to win Song of the Year at the American Country Music Awards. That same year, Billy was named Top New Male Vocalist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music awards and nominated by the Country Music Association for the Horizon Award. Four years later, Billy won a Grammy for “Amazing Grace, A Country Tribute to Gospel,” an album featuring Martina McBride, Allison Krauss, the Charlie Daniels Band and others. In 2017, He was inducted as a member of the Florida Artist Hall of Fame. Tickets for this show are $49 for VIP and $24 for General Admission.
