The Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild hosted its final event of the 2018 season with a Rod Stewart tribute concert on Saturday evening in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. The full house audience sang along and danced to a continuous list of smash hits that included “Maggie May,” “Hot Legs,” “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy” and “Forever Young.”

Gregory Wolfe has been performing as the rock icon since 1984. In addition to his uncanny facial and vocal resemblance to Stewart, the animated Wolfe executed the rock icon’s dance moves, including an exciting performance up and down the aisles.

Earlier this year, the Fine Arts Guild presented tribute performances for Billy Joel, The Bee Gees and Chicago, filling the lodge each time. The 2019 Season has been announced and will feature tribute artists for Garth Brooks, Frank Sinatra, Doobie Brothers and Neil Diamond. Tickets are on sale now at CanyonLakeGuild.org.

As a way of giving back to the community, the Fine Arts Guild will be hosting two free summer concerts at the new Holiday Harbor amphitheater.
