Rocco Lanzisera celebrated his birthday with a party and fishing at his home near Indian Beach. While fishing off his dock with a $500 pole belonging to Rocco’s son Royce, the pole disappeared off the dock and into the water. They searched for the pole for 20 minutes but had no luck finding it. The group returned to the house with the exception of 10-year-old Sage Mangiapelo, who continued fishing.

Ten minutes later, Sage yelled, “I’ve got a big one!” To their surprise, Sage had hooked Royce’s lost fishing pole with an eight-pound catfish on the other end of it. The fish was thanked and returned to the lake, Sage was thanked with a $100 reward from Royce.
