The Family Matters Club invites residents to its Quarter Mania fundraiser on Sunday, Nov. 11, in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. Doors open at 12 p.m. Check-in, shopping and auction bidding starts at 1 p.m. Seating is limited to 100 ticket holders.

General Admission tickets cost $20 pre-sale, $25 at the door. General admission tickets include one bidder paddle, goody bag and event program. General Admission ticket holders need to bring quarters to bid on items.

VIP tickets cost $40 pre-sale, $45 at the door. VIP tickets include one bidder paddle, VIP goody bag, event program and unlimited trips to the snack bar.

VIP ticket holders do not need to bring quarters to bid on items; VIP tickets include bids on all items.

Pre-sale tickets are on sale through Saturday, Nov. 10. To purchase pre-sale tickets, email clfmclub@aol.com.

All ticket holders may purchase up to three extra paddles for $5 each. Extra paddles increase the chances of winning. If more than one paddle is used per round, quarters must be deposited for each paddle used.

Quarter Mania is a cross between an auction and a raffle where guests use numbered paddles and “bid” quarters to win prizes. How does Quarter Mania work? In short, paddles are purchased in order to gain entry to the event. The auctioneer displays an item and states the number of quarters needed to win the item.

The guests who want to “bid” on the item put the specified number of quarters into the bucket on the table. A random numbered ball is pulled. The bidder holding the paddle with the same number wins the item.

Those who purchased VIP ticket holders do not have to put quarters in the bucket — they are automatically “in” for every item up for biddings.

Round one times are valued at $50 or higher. This round required three quarters to bid per item. Round two items are valued at $30 or higher. This round requires two quarters to bid per item.

There will be time for shopping in the vendor area before the bidding begins and between rounds. Vendors include Thirty-One Bags, Scentsy and Ruby Slippers, to name a few. Vendor spaces are free with a donation of a raffle item valued at $35 or more. To inquire about vendor spaces, contact Carmen Cortez at 951-757-4901.
