The Yacht Club held its annual Margaritaville party on Saturday at Holiday Harbor where more than 40 club members gathered for a catered lunch and lawn games with the winners receiving prizes.
Mary Lange won the Best Hat contest. Donna Lovejoy’s parrot hat earned her second place. Vi Henderson came in third place.
Jim and Jane Lafferty won the cornhole game. Jim and Mary Lange came in second place and Dave and Jen Dain took third place.
Harold and Beverly Willard won first place in the ladderball toss game. Larry and Linda Garland came in second place.
The Yacht Club’s next event is a sunset cruise on Saturday, Oct. 13. Those wishing to join in on the fun should meet at the lodge dock at 5:45. Boats depart at 6 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring an appetizer to share. Boats will cruise around the main lake once and then over to Catfish Cove where boats will tie up and appetizers will be shared. Yacht Club membership and boat ownership is not required to attend this event.
The Yacht Club holds monthly meetings on the fourth Thursday of the month at the lodge. Cocktail hour starts at 5 p.m., dinner is served at 6 p.m. and the meeting starts at 7 p.m. Dinner is $18. Annual membership is $15. Boat ownership is not a criteria for membership. Members enjoy fun events throughout the year, including the Moonlight Cruise, Progressive Dinner, Parade of Lights and monthly cruises.
