Wiener Dog Race added to Rocktoberfest lineup

The Jr. Women’s Club invites the community to its annual Rocktoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 13, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Holiday Harbor Park. This year’s theme is Red, White and Brew in honor of veterans.

Rocktoberfest, a twist on the traditional Oktoberfest celebration, will feature beer tastings from local microbreweries, live music by The Bad Dancers, food booths, vendors and Cornhole Tournament. Beer tasting stamps are $20 for 18 tastings. An ID and wristband will be required for alcohol purchases and tastings.

A Wiener Dog Race for dachshund dogs has been added to this year’s entertainment lineup. There will also be a race for small breed dogs under 20 pounds. Prizes will be awarded to the winners. The entry fee is $10. Dog owners can enter their furry friends by emailing canyonlakejwc@gmail.com.
