Letters: Berlin Concert

Editor, The Friday Flyer

Thank you Canyon Lake for being so supportive of the CLPOA’s “Concerts at the Lodge” this past year. I’ve tried to use my 30 years of experience producing concerts to provide the community with an eclectic lineup of the real national touring artists that you have been listening to for so many years, all performing live in concert right here in our Holiday Bay Room.

At the last concert with Berlin, Canyon Lake’s own Makayla Phillips was stunning as the special guest performer. Many Canyon Lakers watched her compete on the mega-hit TV show “America’s Got Talent.” She blew everyone away with her two-song performance. What a tribute to her that Berlin asked her to join them on stage for the finale, “Highway to Hell.”

Original Berlin band member John Crawford was incredible. He had not performed with Berlin in some time and his guitar playing was extraordinary, the crowd absolutely loved him. Lead singer Terri Nunn was very complimentary of our community and the energy of the Canyon Lake audience.

Canyon Lake’s security company did an excellent job. I would like to thank Supervisor Erickson, Captain Haney, Officer Harris and the entire team.

This was an awesome concert experience for the Canyon Lake residents and I don’t ever recall getting so many high fives from the sold-out crowd who attended this electrifying concert. So it’s on to next year Canyon Lake. We’ve got a strong lineup of acts and I look forward to seeing you in 2019 for “Concerts at the Lodge.”
