City, POA annual golf tourney open to public

The City of Canyon Lake and the Canyon Lake POA will host its 4th annual City of Canyon Lake Golf Championship Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 6  and Sunday, Oct. 7, at Canyon Lake Golf & Country Club. Tee times are 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. on both days.

The tournament is open to the public and players do not need to be a Canyon Lake resident or a member of the country club to participate.

The entry fee is $125 and includes two days of golf, cart fees, prize money and a tournament lunch on Saturday, Oct. 6. The registration deadline is tomorrow, Sept. 29.

The winner will receive a prize along with their name engraved on the City of Canyon Lake Golf Championship Tournament trophy that is on display at the country club.

The registration form can be found online at canyonlakecc.com, at the Golf Pro Shop at the country club and at the POA office.

“This is a great opportunity to play two rounds of golf at Canyon Lake’s beautiful golf course and compete for the Canyon Lake City Golf championship for only $125 with prize money and lunch included,” said event organizer Joe Kamashian.

The tournament is sponsored by the City of Canyon Lake and the Canyon Lake POA and supported by the Canyon Lake Men’s Golf Club, Canyon Lake Family Golf Club and Canyon Lake Women’s Golf Club.
