Men’s Golf Club to host Stag Day Tournament

The Men’s Golf Club Stag Day Tournament will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29. The tournament is open to all male Canyon Lake residents and their guests.

The tournament will kick off at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start. Handicap is not required. The putting contest will follow and a card game will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Magnolia Room. The card game is limited to the first 50 players.

A steak dinner catered by the country club will be served at 5 p.m. Award presentations and opportunity drawings will follow dinner. Tournament prizes will be awarded for both Gross and Net winners. There are only 360 tickets available for the opportunity drawing. Participants do not have to be present to win.

Prices are as follows:

  • Raffle ticket, golf and dinner: $80
  • Raffle ticket and dinner: $65
  • Raffle ticket and golf: $55
  • Raffle ticket only: $40
  • Dinner only: $25
  • Golf tournament only (green and cart fees not included): $15
  • Card game: $15

The tournament is the club’s only fundraiser of the year. Tickets are available from any Men’s Golf Club board member and at the Golf Pro Shop.

Members of the Canyon Lake Men’s Golf Club meet for play every Wednesday morning. Signups are taken between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. in the Magnolia Room at the country club. In addition to Wednesday games, the club sponsors eight major tournaments throughout the year. Dues include membership in the Southern California Golf Association.

Canyon Lake residents and property owners age 18 and older and any member of the public who purchases an outside annual golf membership are eligible to join the club. The Men’s Golf Club has a Junior Membership Division for males under the age of 18.
