Golfers are reminded that all players must check-in and pay at the Golf Pro Shop at all times when playing on the course. To make a tee time reservation, call 951-246-1782. After Lunch Bunch

Individual Tin Whistle was the format for last Friday’s After Lunch Bunch game.  Twenty players participated in the game that teed off at the regular time of 8 a.m. The results are as follows:

A Flight – 1st place: Clive Taylon, 24; 2nd place: Oscar Rowland, 24; 3rd Place: Sam Theodora, 21.

B Flight – 1st place: Joe Washle, 22; 2nd place: Jim Musser, 20; 3rd Place: Marv Tweedy, 19.

The Closest to the Pin awards went to Leroy Madera on holes 8 and 17 and Bill Levis on hole 11.

The eight winners in the Skins competition are Joe Washle on hole 2, Bob Stinson on holes 3 and 4, Bill Hallahan on hole 7, Dennis Franks on hole 10, Oscar Rowland on holes 13 and 15 and Clive Taylor on hole 17.

The “After Lunch Bunch” meets every Friday with a first tee time of 8AM. The game is open to all male golfers with a handicap and sign-ups are taken in the Magnolia Room or over the phone at 249-4565 or 237-6102 between 6:30 & 7:15AM.  The entry fee is $5.00 and there is also an optional “Skins” game for an additional $5.00.

Now in its 38th year, the After Lunch Bunch offers a friendly game of golf every Friday throughout the year and an annual tournament in November. Entries are open to all male golfers with an established handicap. The entry fee is $5 with an optional 25 maximum Skins game. Tee time is 8 a.m. Signups are taken between 6:15 and 7 a.m. in the Magnolia Room at the country club or by phone at 951-249-4565 or 951-237-6102.

Women’s Golf Club

The Women’s Golf Club is a member of Southern California Golf Association. The club meets on Tuesdays in the Magnolia Room at the country club between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. to tee off at 8 a.m. for 18 holes of golf. The club’s mission is promoted through camaraderie, social events, recognition and tournaments throughout the year.  Major tournaments and events include the Presidents Cup, Club Championship, Senior Championship and Breast Cancer Tournament. The club strives to be a source of pride and enjoyment for all members. Other women in the community are invited to participate in all the club has to offer. Annual Memberships

Annual golf memberships Canyon Lake residents are offered at $59 per month for juniors 17 years and younger, $108 per month for ages 18 to 35 and $167 for ages 35 and older. Annual memberships include unlimited green fees, access to practice facility, discounts at the Golf Shop, access to Junior Golf programs, access to clubs and leagues, access to instructional lessons and clinics and members can bring a guest to play.

Family Golf Club

The Family Golf Club promotes the sport of golf bringing together men, women and juniors in an atmosphere of education, camaraderie, fairness and competition in a friendly family oriented environment. The club hosts beginner and youth clinics, tournaments and social events throughout the year. The club’s official golf day is Wednesday at approximately 11:30 a.m. Some members schedule golf days on Mondays, Fridays or Saturdays at 11:30 a.m.

The tournament director works closely with Golf Pro Pat Kemball and his staff to assure tournaments are balanced. Family Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association. It holds open meetings the third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the country club. For membership information, call Kevin O’Leary at 951-818-3361. Canyon Lake residents can enjoy unlimited play for all family members who reside at the same address for as low as $269 per month.

Adult Golf Lessons

The golf professional staff offers adult golf lessons seven days a week. Lessons are $35 for a 30-minute lesson, $50 for a one-hour lesson, $135 for three one-hour lessons and $200 for five one-hour lessons. Reservations are required. Junior Golf Lessons

Junior golf lessons are available for children ages seven to 17. Lessons are $25 per half hour. Reservations are taken at the Golf Pro Shop.

Golf Pro Shop

The Golf Pro Shop at the country club features the latest in golf clubs from Ping, Mizuno, Callaway and Titleist. It also stocks Nike, EP Pro, Antigua and Foot Joy golf apparel. Canyon Lake Property Owner’s Association members receive a 20 percent discount on women’s and men’s apparel.

9ers Golf Club

The 9ers Golf Club is a member of the Women’s Southern California Golf Association. Ladies who are interested in playing golf and making new friends are invited to play; all levels of golfers are welcome. Men’s Golf Club

Members of the Canyon Lake Men’s Golf Club meet for play every Wednesday morning. Signups are taken between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. in the Magnolia Room at the country club. In addition to Wednesday games, the club sponsors eight major tournaments throughout the year. Dues include membership in the Southern California Golf Association. Canyon Lake residents and property owners age 18 and older are eligible. The club also has a Junior Membership Division for males under the age of 18.
