Pickleball Club announces tourney winners

The Pickleball Club held its Hot August Nights Tournament on Aug. 18. Twenty-four players participated. Four teams of three men and three women competed in a round robin type competition. Mary Koster, Carl Duplan, Bill Koster, Mary Visger, Steve Libring and Diane Libring of Team Two won first place.

Twenty players participated in the club’s Ladder Tournament on July 28. Alan Stone placed first in the men’s division. Dave Pinard placed second and Dave Dain placed third.

In the women’s division, Diane Libring earned the top spot. Mary Koster place second and Michelle Wynn placed third. The first place winners in both divisions were awarded gift certificates. The Pickleball Club welcomes beginners and regular players for social play Monday through Friday from 8 to 10 a.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. A Twilight Social Mixer is held for all players once a month on the third Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m.  All skill levels are welcome.
