Fine Arts Guild to host Chicago tribute concert

Kenny Cetera’s Chicago Experience will bring the music of Chicago to Canyon Lake on Saturday, Aug. 25, at the lodge. The concert is sponsored by the Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild.

Kenny has personally toured with Chicago, one of the longest-running and most successful rock groups of all time, as a vocalist and performed on Chicago’s best selling album Chicago 17. Kenny’s brother, Peter Cetera, was the most notable lead singer of the brass-rock group. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.

Kenny Cetera’s Chicago Experience is billed to be a most engaging musical event as Kenny effortlessly drives the lead vocals above the “harmonically dissonant” horn section. The band that makes up Kenny Cetera’s Chicago Experience are all seasoned veterans of the music industry and focus on presenting material from the band’s most relevant and creative years of original music, 1968 through 1985.

Concertgoers can expect to hear such notable hits as “Does Anybody Know What Time It Is,” “If You Leave Me Now,” “25 or 6 to 4,” “Feeling Stronger Every Day,” “Saturday in the Park” and “Hard Habit to Break,” to name a few.

VIP tickets are $45; General Admission tickets are $25. Tickets to this concert and the Fine Arts Guild’s Nov. 3 Rod Stewart tribute concert can be purchased at CanyonLakeGuild.com. General Admission tickets are available for purchase at the POA office. Those who plan to attend are urged to purchase tickets now. According to Guild Director Orlando Lopez, VIP tickets are 80 percent sold and General Admission tickets are quickly selling out. For more information, visit canyonlakeguild.com.
