The Canyon Lake Association of Men held its annual July picnic at Holiday Harbor Park on the evening of July 18. Nearly 100 members and guests attended the luau theme party that included a pig ceremony, Polynesian dancers, raffles and a feast for all catered by Islanders Luau.

“The weather was perfect for a night of Island celebrations,” said member Mark Inkrote.

CLAMS is a non-profit organization that has been in existence for more than 40 years. The club awards scholarships to deserving Canyon Lake high school male seniors and donates to other Canyon Lake clubs that help those in need.

Membership is open to all Canyon Lake men who have a desire for friendship, volunteering, fundraising and fun times.

Regular CLAMS meetings are held on the third Wednesday from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. during the months of January, February, March, May, October and November. The CLAMS will meet in September to travel to Laughlin for its 31st annual Laughlin group trip.
