Community Patrol presents statistics for June

The Community Patrol report for June is presented by Account Manager Michael Erikson. The Marine Patrol report is provided by Marine Patrol Captain Steve Haney.

Community Patrol

Community Patrol answered 240 calls for service and performed 2,894 foot patrols of amenities and parks. Twenty-four suspicious persons/vehicles were reported with an average response time by Community Patrol of five minutes.

Patrol issued 67 speed citations. The speed trailer issued 36 citations. Sixty-seven parking citations were issued.

Three gate runner and 13 failure to comply (refusal to show POA/DL/ID) citations were issued. Officers confiscated 214 guest passes.

Five verbal abuse and seven animal-related citations were issued.

Two citations were issued for failure to stop for a school bus. Five citations were issued for noise. One solicitation citation was issued.

One motorcycle accident and three incidents of vandalism were reported. The Swat Team responded to one prank call in the vicinity of Canyon Lake Dr. South and Blue Bird Dr.

Marine Patrol

Marine Patrol received 11 calls for service and performed 8.58 escorted hours, 193 boat safety inspections, 20 boat tows, one battery assist and 66 quagga inspections. Thirty-four fishing related citations were issued.

About Community Patrol

The POA contracts with U.S Security Associates to provide Community Patrol and Marine Patrol services to assist with non-emergency incidents that pertain to the POA’s Rules and Regulations. The City of Canyon Lake contracts with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department for police services. The POA, City of Canyon Lake and  Riverside Sheriff’s Department all work closely to provide the residents of Canyon Lake with a safe community.

Community Patrol’s primary functions are to provide the community with services that include access control at the entry gates, Rules and Regulations compliance, and incident observation and reporting to the Association. Community Patrol’s services do not replace the services of outside public safety agencies such as law enforcement, fire services, medical services, city code enforcement, etc.

Community Patrol is located at 23066 Canyon Lake Dr. South. Marine Patrol is located at the Holiday Harbor Park launch area.
