Roadrunners travel to Zion National Park

Thirty-four members of the Canyon Lake Roadrunners Club vacationed June 18 through June 22 at Zion National Park in Utah. The committee, made up of the Sells, Ebberts, Kieltys and Robersons, planned fun games and outings for the group that included happy hours, group dinners, Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament, Bean Bag Toss Tournament, Pin the Tail on the Feather game and an award night.

Roger and Linda Kielty, dressed as Sonny and Cher, highlighted the “Hootenanny” that involved all Roadrunners in a sing-a-long.

Two members found the area where Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid was filmed and two others hiked The Narrows.

Any resident who owns an RV is welcome to join the Roadrunners Club. Annual membership is $5 per person. Monthly dinner meetings are held on the second Tuesday at the lodge during winter months and at Roadrunner Park during the summer months. Social hour begins at 5 p.m., dinner is served at 6 p.m. In addition to monthly dinner meetings, the club takes six to eight trips per year.
