‘Margaritaville by the Lake’ concert postponed

The Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild has announced that “Margaritaville by the Lake,” a free Jimmy Buffett tribute concert planned for Saturday, July 21, at the new Holiday Harbor amphitheater, has been postponed.

The amphitheater is a new facility under construction at Holiday Harbor overlooking the lake. With the stage at the edge of the water, it’s a unique location to attend a musical event from the lawn or from a boat. Due to the completion of the amphitheater being on hold, the event has been postponed until after the completion date is announced.

When rescheduled, the planned event will feature the music of Jimmy Buffett performed by Gary Seiler and the CoastRiders. The pre-concert event will begin at 4 p.m. on the upper level of Holiday Harbor with rock and country oldies band Moonshot. The Junior Woman’s Club will provide vendor booths as well as beer and wine for sale. The Family Matters Club plans to staff the snack bar and provide a bounce house for kids.

The Saturday evening event will be hosted primarily by the Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild in appreciation for the community’s support of its music program over the past 17 years. “We’re supportive of the efforts to complete this facility,” said President Ron Martel. “Soon, we’ll be inviting the entire community to celebrate this new venue with family-friendly music by the lake.”
