Letter: Mermaid Festival

On behalf of the Woman’s Club, I would like to thank all who attended and/or participated in the festival on Saturday. Without you, the club’s events would not be the success that they are. At our June meeting this year, we donated $42,000 in contributions to local charities, scholarships for education and a contribution along with other clubs to the POA for an upgraded sound system at the lodge. Again, we could not achieve this quite significant amount without all of your support.

I would also like to thank all of the Woman’s Club members, their significant others, their friends and family for all of the volunteer hours and donations of goods and services that go into putting on an event of this size. It takes a village.

I’d like to thank Samantha Bell of the POA Activities department for her unfailing unflappability during the lead up to this event. And last but not least, thank you to The Friday Flyer for its ongoing support of the Woman’s Club.

Our next event is our annual Home Tour which always features some lovely Canyon Lake homes decorated for the holidays. It will be held on the first Saturday of December. Please make note of the change from the first Sunday of December has it has been in the past. Thank you.
