The 2018 Men’s Golf Club Championship was played over three days, June 1 through June 3, with a field of more than 50 players. All golfers competed in four Gross divisions and four Net divisions.
After three days of play, the four finalists went out Sunday afternoon for their second round of the day to compete in the championship round in temperatures around 100 degrees. This is Brandon’s fifth consecutive Club Championship and his eighth win since 2010.
The three other finalists are Marcus Schonabaum, Brett Geer and Larry Drew.
There were three Championship flights based on age. Marcus Schonabaum won the Senior Club Championship, Bruce Yarbrough won the Super Senior Championship and Fred Finger won the Masters Club Championship.
In the four Net divisions, the winners are as follows:
- Flight One: Mike Golovich
- Flight Two: Jeff Taylor
- Flight Three: Mark Violassi
- Flight Four: Thom Merry.
The awards were presented after the second round on Sunday. Lunch was prepared and served by the country club staff and the tournament planning and coordination was provided by the Men’s Club Tournament Chairman Jon Evans and Golf Pro Pat Kemball.
