Little League season comes to an end

Canyon Lake Little League celebrated another successful year as it ended the season with Closing Ceremony at Gault Field. All the teams lined up just beyond the infield as they waited for the ceremony to begin. The event started with playing of the National Anthem. At the end of the National Anthem, players from the Major League teams of the Yankees and Pirates cited the Little League Pledge. The board members were then announced and thanked for all their hard work throughout the season. The board also acknowledged all the parents and fans for their tremendous support.

Three teams were individually recognized at the pitcher’s mound as they will be representing the Canyon Lake Little League in the Tournament of Champions. The teams going to the Tournament of Champions are the Double A  Angels, Triple A Angels and the Pirates from the Major League division. Evan Brockie from the Major League Pirates was then called to the pitcher’s mound and was presented with the Home Run Pin.

Evan was the only player of the year to knock one out of the park, and it came on the final game of the season. All the teams were then announced and took one final trip around the bases to end the season.
