FMC invites residents to upcoming events

The Family Matters Club will host a free Craft and Snack Day on Monday, June 11, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Sunset Beach Room on the lower level of the lodge. The project will be a countdown to summer chain craft.

The club will host its annual Sand Castle Building and Pirate Treasure Dig during Taco Tuesday on July 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. Residents of all ages are invited to build their best sand castle for entry into a free drawing for a prize. Kids can also dig for pirate treasures under the Family Matters tent.

The club is co-hosting a free concert in the park with the Fine Arts Guild and the Jr. Women’s Club on July 21 at Holiday Harbor Park. “Margaritaville by the Lake” will feature a Jimmy Buffet tribute band. The Family Matters Club will be providing a bounce house and face painting for kids and offering treats for sale in the snack bar.
