Taco Tuesdays kicks off next week at lodge

Taco Tuesday, an iconic Canyon Lake event that symbolizes summer fun in the community, kicks off next week, June 5, and runs through Aug. 7 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the lodge and Sunset Beach. Taco Tuesdays are a family-friendly event for residents and their guests.

The menu will offer a variety of Mexican themed food sold in the Pool View Room on the lower level of the lodge. Snacks will be sold in the adjacent room. The indoor bar will offer both fountain and alcoholic drinks.

Taco Tuesdays feature weekly entertainment provided by resident DJ Mike Shroyer of Good Time Entertainment, vendor booths and a kids zone.

Taco Tuesdays can get busy and parking may be limited in the first few weeks. To help alleviate traffic, the POA will offer shuttle service, looping around Canyon Club Drive and Lighthouse Drive, during the event.

The Woman’s Club will have a booth at the first Taco Tuesday only, offering tickets for its Mermaid Festival grand prize opportunity drawing on June 23. Prizes this year include a Lily Pad, kayak and three $100 cash prize. Tickets are $5 each.
