The Canyon Lake Choraleers presented its spring concert, “Best of Big Band,” on Sunday in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge.

The concert was directed by Lorilee Bajema. Accompanying the chorus was resident pianist Lynda Salina and members of the Elsinore High advanced jazz ensemble. The program featured well-known songs from the 20s, 30s and 40s. “Java Jive,” “Misty,” Embraceable You,” “Autumn Leaves” and “Minnie the Moocher,” were included in the program. An opportunity drawing and scholarship presentation were held during intermission.

“This was our most successful concert to date,” said Choraleers President Larry Garland. “We sold out at 250 tickets.”

The Choraleers next concert will be their holiday concert on December 16. Details will be provided at a later date.
