Memorial Day weekend lottery starts May 12

The Happy Camp Construction Project is on schedule to be completed by Memorial Day weekend, one of the camp’s busiest weekends of the year. The POA is anticipating it to be busier as it debuts its new modernization layout. As such, the POA will be holding a member lottery to award sites.

Members can sign up for the lottery Saturday, May 12, through Friday, May 18, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Happy Camp office. To sign up, members must present their POA card and must be in good standing with the POA. Only one entry per tract-lot is allowed.

The lottery will be held on Saturday, May 19, at 9 a.m. Members must be present to win. Upon winning a reservation, members must pay a $30 non-refundable deposit and there is a three-day minimum stay that must include the Memorial Day holiday on May 28. Reservations are not site specific.

The campground will reopen on Friday, May 25.
