Wakeboard Club to host Learn to Ride Day

Learn to ride a wakeboard or improve your skills at the Wakeboard Club’s Learn to Ride Day tomorrow, May 5, from 12 to 6 p.m. at the north ski area on Vacation Drive. Registration begins at 11 a.m. Club members will be on hand to provide training for all levels of riders. With the help of sponsors, the club is able to provide boats and equipment for the day. The cost is $15 per person. The final 2018 Learn to Ride Day is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 22.

The club’s wakeboard tournaments are scheduled for May 12, Sept. 29 and Oct. 20. Registration begins at 11 a.m. Contests/riding begins promptly at 12 p.m. Entries will not be accepted after 12 p.m. The cost is $30. per division entered. All competitors must have a WWA membership. Prizes will be awarded for first through third places.

The Canyon Lake Wakeboard Club caters to beginners to the most advanced riders. The club promotes the sport by hosting tournaments and sponsoring Learn to Ride Day events. For more information, visit the club’s website at canyonlakewake.com.
