Street Carts of CL to host community Poker Run

The Street Carts of Canyon Lake will host a community golf cart Poker Run fundraiser on Saturday, May 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Poker cards are $10 per hand or $30 for four hands.

Check-in is at 11 a.m. at Sierra Park where players will receive a score sheet and pick their first poker card. From Sierra Park, players will travel at their own pace to four other checkpoints: Diamond Point Park, Roadrunner Beach, Sunset Beach and Holiday Harbor Park. Players will draw a card at each checkpoint. Each time a player draws a card, the dealer will note it on the player’s score sheet. If a card is drawn that duplicates one drawn from a previous park, the player returns the card and draws again.

Once the player has visited all four checkpoints, the player returns to Sierra Park to turn in their score sheet. All score sheets must be turned in at Sierra Park by 1:30 p.m. Winners will be announced at 2 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top three poker hands. In case of a tie, the players will be dealt another hand. There will also be an opportunity drawing.

Registration is not required. To participate, just show up at Sierra Park at 11 a.m.

Proceeds from the Poker Run will go toward the club’s philanthropic donations. For more information about the Poker Run or to sign up to be a card dealer, contact Todd Morrison at 909-437-2702.
