Bassmasters Club winners announced

With a total fish weight of 19.24, the team of Dale Britt and Steve Baker took first place in the Bassmasters Club’s April fishing tournament. Jerry Jones and Joe Merrill took second place with 18.44 pounds. Coming in third is the team of Jim Wright and Dave Brittenham with 14.42 pounds.

Big Fish of the Day, weighing in a 5.93 pounds, was caught by Joe Merrill. All fish were released back into the lake.

The Bassmasters Club meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the country club. Monthly tournaments are held on the first Saturday of each month. Residents who like to fish and want to improve their skills in a low stress, friendly competitive environment are welcome to join.
