Travel Club hosts Mardi Gras Dinner Dance

The Travel Club hosted its Mardi Gras Dinner Dance on Friday, Mar. 2, in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. Attendees enjoyed a sit-down dinner, dancing and entertainment provided by Mike Shroyer of Good Time Entertainment.

The Travel Club invites all Canyon Lake residents ages 21 years and older to join in on its club parties and exciting single and multi-day travel adventures. Upcoming events include a Taste of LA Tour single-day trip on Mar. 29. The guided tour includes Little Tokyo for a Japanese snack, followed by a visit to Chinatown for dim sum and a stop at the historic Tam O’Shanter for a taste of their famous prime rib sandwich. The tour will conclude with a stop for wine at the San Antonio Winery. Bus departs from the lodge at 7:30 a.m. and returns at approximately 6 p.m. The cost is $93 per member, $98 per non-member.

The group will travel by motor coach to Las Vegas for a three-night stay at the newly refurbished Golden Nugget May 6 through May 9. The cost is $355 per person and includes a three-course dinner at Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse, premiere ticket to Ka from Cirque du Soleil and brunch at Wicked Spoons a the Cosmopolitan. A multi-day trip to Mazatlan is planned for Oct. 22  to Oct. 29. Trip includes meals, drinks, welcome party and Halloween party. The cost is $1130 per person/double; $1430 single.
