The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce held it’s 22nd annual Awards Gala and Installation Dinner on Saturday in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge.
The event included a sit-down dinner, presentation of awards, installation of chamber officers and opportunity drawings. More than 100 guests attended.
Among those in attendance were District 1 Supervisor Kevin Jefferies, District Representative Darrell Connerton from Senator Jeff Stone’s office, Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District Division 1 Director Nancy Horton, Canyon Lake Mayor Pro Tem Larry Greene, Canyon Lake Councilmen Jordan Ehrenkranz and Randy Bonner and Canyon Lake POA Directors Dale Welty and Paul Queen.
The Citizen of the Year award, sponsored by Jordan and Jennie Ehrenkranz, was presented to Ron Martel. Volunteer of the Year, sponsored by CR&R, was presented to Steve Libring. Youth of the Year, sponsored by Sports Stop Pub & Grill and Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant and Cantina, was presented to Jake Hosking and Cooper Anderson. Organization of the Year, sponsored by Southern California Edison, was presented to the Woman’s Club. Business of the Year, sponsored by the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce, was presented to Platinum Plumbing.
The six community honorees were presented with an award from the chamber and proclamations from U.S. Congressman Ken Calvert, Senator Jeff Stone, State Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez and Riverside County 1st District Supervisor Kevin Jefferies.
The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce is an association of businesses and individuals organized to encourage a strong local economy and quality of life by promoting and advancing the community, civic, cultural and educational development of the Canyon Lake area while providing a valuable forum for issues affecting local commerce and the general well-being of the community.
