AFV receives donation from Pickleball Club

Canyon Lake Pickleball Club members Steve and Diane Libring organized a donation drive on behalf of Animal Friends of the Valleys, a local animal shelter that serves Canyon Lake. Club members donated a total of 70 pounds of cat litter, 73.5 pounds of dry dog food, 18 pounds of canned dog food, 33 pounds of dry cat food, 19 pounds of canned cat food, two pet beds, four blankets, a dog grooming set and a large bag of pet toys. Steve and Diane made a pledge to match the monetary donations. A total of $1,110 was donated.

The club’s board members, Steve and Diane, Jeannette Williams, Nancy Hoke, Char Mirich and Kimberly Keigwin, delivered and presented the donations to representatives of Animal Friends of the Valleys.

The Pickleball Club meets on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 to 11 a.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. for social play. Players of all levels are welcomed.
