Wegs enjoy coastal road trip to Cambria

Linda and Hans Weg recently returned from a road trip to Cambria, California, where they stayed three days at the Cambria Pines Lodge. “The place was awesome. They gave us a suite with a beautiful view,” said Hans. “Included in our stay was dinner for two with a bottle of wine and a breakfast buffet every morning. The food was outstanding.”

Linda and Hans visited several beaches during their stay, including a beach occupied with elephant seals. “There were literally thousands of elephant seals lying on the beach sunning themselves,” said Hans. The also visited Hearst Castle and the Piedras Blancas Light Station.

On the way home, the couple stopped at Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach and the little town of Harmony with a population of 18. “We stopped in Newberry Park to eat dinner at a German Restaurant called Jeanette’s Edelweiss,” said Hans. “Then we dreaded the rest of the drive home through Hollywood and Los Angeles. That was the only part of the trip that was not any fun.”
