The two-year terms of Paul Queen and Dale Welty expire in May. Members interested in running for the two Board of Directors seats must complete and turn in an Intent to Run packet to the POA office by Friday, Mar. 2 at 3 p.m.

The form must be completed by candidates or by a nominating member and received by the Nominating Committee by the deadline in order to ensure the candidate’s name appears on the ballot.

Regardless of whether a candidacy form was completed, any candidate may still be nominated by himself, herself, or by someone else from the floor of the Annual Meeting.

All candidates must be a Prime or Associate member of the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association and in good standing, as required by the By-Laws. Candidates must not have been convicted of a crime that involves moral turpitude within the past 10 years.

A Candidate Orientation Meeting will be held on Friday, Mar. 9, at 2 p.m. in the POA Conference Room. Campaigning is not allowed prior to the meeting. Campaign signs may be placed in the community beginning Saturday, Mar. 11.

Ballots will be mailed to members Thursday, Apr. 5. The Annual Meeting of the Members and Election of Directors will be held Thursday, May 10, at 8 a.m. at the lodge. The alternate date if a quorum is not met is Saturday, May 12.

The five members on the Board of Directors are collectively responsible for the management and operation of the POA’s business affairs. Terms are for two years. For questions about the election, contact Clerk of the Board Harmony Owen at howen@canyonlakepoa.com.
