Men’s Golf announces tournament winners

The Men’s Golf Club held its annual Sweetheart Tournament on Sunday. The format was Four Person Tin Whistle with teams consisting of two couples. The group was split into two flights with prize money for both Net and Gross winners.

The winners are as follows:

A Flight Gross: Phil Lerch, Marina Stinson and Tom and Julie Faia.

A Flight Net: 1st place: Gil and Judy Kim and Jesse and KK Beecher; 2nd place: Shannon Vandruff, Jeannette Williams, Phil Coughlin and Joanna Spiller; 3rd place: Bob and Ina Pickard and Chuck and Ura Furry.

B Flight Gross: Don and Anne Norris and Joe and Linda Kamashian.

B Flight Net: 1st place: Joe and Dorothy Washle and Bob and Nancy Tice; 2nd place: Robb Smith, Maxine Whalen, Barry Talbot and Donna Nunes; 3rd place: Vince and Mimi LaRosa and Ed and Darlene Cortez.

Joe and Dorothy Washle were named Couple of the Year and recognized for their 44 years of marriage and 16 years of service to the community.

Presentation of awards and a taco buffet at the country club followed the tournament.

The club wishes to thank the country club staff for great food and service and Golf Pro Pat Kemball and his staff for their help with scoring and award presentation.
