The Bassmasters Club held its annual Awards Banquet at the country club on Jan. 20. Club members have been battling for the past 12 months for the biggest fish and most points. The year-end results are as follows:

  • 1st place and Angler of the Year: Nolan Cromwell.
  • 2nd place: Travis Smith.
  • 3rd place: Jim Wright.

The Big Fish award went to Mark White whose fish weighed 7.66 points.

The Sportsman of the Year award went to Jim Wright. Jim serves on the club’s board as weight master and volunteers at all the club’s community events.

The Bassmasters Club meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the country club. Monthly tournaments are held on the first Saturday of each month. Residents who like to fish and want to improve their skills in a low stress, friendly competitive environment are welcome to join.
