CL Woman’s Club to host Paint and Sip Party

The Canyon Lake Woman’s Club is gearing up for its annual Fashion Show on April 27. This year’s theme is Sensational 70s.

The club hosts several pre-parties leading up to the show. The first pre-party will be a Paint and Sip Party on Monday, Jan. 15, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Treasure Island clubhouse on Longhorn Drive.

The cost is $45 per person and includes appetizers, wine, dessert, a painting to take home and one entry into the Fashion Show grand prize opportunity drawing with $2,500 in cash prizes.

The funds raised at the party will go towards the club’s philanthropy projects.

Reservations are required. To reserve a spot, call or text Jan May at 951-970-8333. Guests do not have to be a member of the club to attend the pre-parties or Fashion Show.

Fashion Show tickets cost $45 and will be available in February.

The Woman’s Club will host three more pre-parties leading up to its April Fashion Show: Rocky Horror Picture Show, I Dream of Jeannie and The Love Boat.

A Cooking Class is planned for Feb. 24 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the senior center. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased by calling Jan May at 951-970-8333 or Rose Marie Hand  at 951-244-6654.

Since 1995, the Woman’s Club has awarded more than $200,000 to more than 150 local high school graduates and more than $50,000 to continuing education students.

The club meets monthly on the third Wednesday in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. Vendor hour is from 9 to 10 a.m.; meeting begins at 10 a.m. Lunch is $14.
