Golfers attending the Women’s Golf Club’s annual Christmas Tournament and Installation of 2018 Officers were asked to bring a new unwrapped toy for the Mattress Firm Foster Program, a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit launched in December 2015 to make a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of thousands of foster children in need. The program provides both in-kind and monetary contributions to carefully chosen non-profit organizations in the areas they serve.

The women donated approximately 70 toys. “I was very pleased and overwhelmed by all the toys we received,” said Tournament Chair Ura Furry. “Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for participating and the toys.”

The results of the tournament and the names of the 2018 officers were announced in last week’s issue of The Friday Flyer.
