Pack 346 celebrates holiday with service projects

Scouts from Pack 346 are participating in community service projects during the month of December.

The Webelos Den will be visiting residents at a care home for people with Dementia where they will be singing holiday songs, reading Christmas cards and donating items towards the facility’s music therapy.

The Wolf Den organized a Christmas Family Adoption with Lamb’s Fellowship Church, Pack 346’s charter organization. The church has chosen a family in need of assistance and the Pack 346 will provide the family with assistance in the form of a Christmas dinner, Christmas gifts and groceries to help them get through the Holidays.

On Dec. 10, Pack 346 celebrated the holidays with their annual Holiday Carnival. The Bear Den designed carnival games and hosted the event for the scouts and their families. Santa visited and attended the awards ceremony.

The Arrow of Light Den is continuing their E-waste Recycling Fundraiser through Jan. 15. Scouts are collecting small electronics (cell phones, tablets, GPS, radar detectors) and ink cartridges for recycling.

A collection box is at the Canyon Lake Library, 31516 Railroad Canyon Rd. Funds raised from the project will go to the Arrow of Light Ceremony and the Pack’s Campership Fund.

Cub Scout Pack 346 serves Canyon Lake, Canyon Hills and Tuscany Hills and is for boys in kindergarten through 5th grade.
